Berendsen Perth has recently invested in a new state of the art, digital Sunnen HTA 4100 NC horizontal tube honing system.
This new system will allow the branch to expand on the range of cylinders they are able to hone in-house at their workshop, reducing turnaround times, and lowering costs.
Cylinder barrels up to a 20 inch bore size, and barrel lengths up to 8 metres end-to-end can now be accommodated. This is done while machining with a very high level of accuracy to restore the inside of the cylinder barrel to optimal concentricity, and surface finish.

Our Perth branch is looking forward to welcoming even more new equipment in 2018, including a special purpose cylinder disassembly stripping bench which will further improve our capabilities in the end-to-end cylinder repair process.
These new additions complement the existing range of Turning and Milling machinery at our powerhouse Perth Airport facility. This machine is the third of its kind within the Berendsen Fluid Power branch network – we are able to hone up to 10 metres end to end in other locations.
